Online gaming has been widely accepted and used since it first surfaced. And why not? I like playing online; it lets you see how good you are compared to others, face a challenge (against pros, anyway.), and make new friends. However, it's also infamous for misbehavior of some of those little.... kids. How do you see online gaming: Good or bad, and why?

Good because wrecking scrubs is my hobby.

For me, it would all depend on the situation. While I always adore the option for local multiplayer, many of my friends have outgrown video games. It especially sucks because Nintendo seems hesitant to put one leg in the water; StarFox 64 3D would've actually stayed on my 3DS for more than two days if it had online multiplayer, and was as enjoyable as the local. Mario Party Online would also be fun if Nintendo could get its foot out of its own arse and make a Mario Party game as fun as the first three. I think game studios should embrace both concepts equally; while shooters are getting more fun and complex now (finally), few embrace local multiplayer. I remember Call Of Duty: Black Ops, where it even combined the two. Devils Third, as fun as it looks, is restricted to online multiplayer or single-player campaign. Titanfall is online-only. ON A FULL-PRICE CONSOLE GAME. Online is a good thing, but it shouldn't replace local multiplayer, and as nice as it is to have local multiplayer, developers shouldn't limit themselves strictly to it.

Mario Party Online would be the funnest thing ever.

I don't really play online, but I welcome it to gaming.
You won't see me here, but you might find me if you look in the right places.
