Note that the features mentioned in this post are subject to change as more updates for the alpha begin to roll out.

Hello, I'm Kusanagi, and in this post I'll be telling you about what I thought of the Unreal Tournament 4 alpha. Obviously, as aforementioned, the game is still in alpha, and a lot of things are bound to be changed up a little.
Anyways, I'll stop rambling.
When you first launch the Alpha you're greeted with a few options, which appear at the top of the screen. Just the usual stuff, options, a quit button, a multiplayer button, and a few extra things like training and integration with the Epic Games Launcher system on which you have to download to access. The options aren't too detailed yet, just giving you a small amount of, well, OPTIONS to choose from. The usual stuff, like resolution, graphics settings, etc. It isn't bad, it's just..a bit too scarce at the minute. Moving over to the training tab, you have a submenu pop up, letting you either choose if you can go to the well mapped out training course or you can watch some videos. I unfortunately haven't watched the videos yet, due to me getting interested in the training course, which I shall get to later. Next, is the multiplayer option, which also gives you a submenu in which you can choose the type of gamemode you want to play, such as TDM, DM or CTF. However, as the game as in alpha, I went in with a bit of a shaky judgement regarding multiplayer. And boy, was I right in doing so. The server system, chat and room selection all work fine and brilliantly, but when actually trying to get into a game? Nope. The game has a bug where when you try and start a game, it gets stuck on "Initializing", and you have to keep restarting the process until you actually get in. Luckily, I have played a bit of TDM and to be honest, gameplay wise, it feels like Unreal Tournament but with better pacing, community driven development helps the game get better, etc. The only thing that is practically the same, other than the gameplay, is the weapons. They are using the Unreal Tournament 3 gun models, due to wanting to get a playable game out before all of the polished up stuff.
The training section, which I have mentioned previously does a damned well good job at showing players the ropes. It is set up into three segments plus the option to go straight into the bot training simulations. The categories consist of Weaponry, Pickups and Movement. As well as just being there for training purposes, they also give players a little bit of a challenge: to collect what I like to call "Unreal Tokens". They're floating coins with the Unreal symbol on them, and you earn them either through performance, or testing out your abilities to, say, cross a gap using the wall dodge maneuver. I, after 20 minutes, managed to collect them all, the only one that I struggled with was the one on the rocket boots segment.
Anyways, that was my opinion on the UT4 alpha.

Unreal Tournament? Sounds familiar.

It's the latest instalment in the arena shooter franchise.
Anyways, I'll be updating this thread with more soon, since I managed to meddle with the editor.

Angry German Kid is..an awful summarisation of the children out there who simply do not understand that there is a thing called "loading" and that hardware have these things called "limits". As well as that, it awfully portrays how pissed off people get at something which physically is just something that's there for passive enlightenment, to quite literally pass the time while letting you do something that you wouldn't normally do.
