As we all know. DLC in Smash Bros is an anticipated feature, although, Sakurai said that Mewtwo will be the only DLC character. But we all know that he changes his mind, and a lot.

On 4Chan, people leaked a possible new DLC character, and that is Ubisoft's Rayman!

Etika makes a valid point though. This DLC pack is taking too damn long.

We can assume that Nintendo isn't working on anything else at the moment, meaning that it's all just the Mewtwo DLC. But then, why is it taking so long? What if they're working on a couple other characters as well? What if we get a total of 53 playable character on the roster? That would mean the character selection screen on 3DS would be full, the way God (of smash) intended.

The Smash team is probably trying to make Mewtwo as balanced as possible. Maybe they'll release a balance patch along with the Mewtwo DLC. I highly doubt more DLC is being developed.
