If you weren't aware, Project M has a series of rumors for characters, here's a 'leaked' gameplay of it:

It does look good, but there's a twist to it. Apparently, the model of Knuckles came from a dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qppr25ed0yjckay/5WTP5UMIAF), which also contains Master Chief, Zero, Young Link, Ho-oh, etc. The opposers argued that the maker of the video actually modded it to have Knuckles, Lyn, and Issac in it. The defense, it is still in build, as stated many times (that's why Knuckles is like Sonic).

That very same defense also explains why there was the 3.02 menu instead of 3.5, but it doesn't explain why there's a debug mode, a 3.5 only feature. The defense, once again 'it was in build'. They were close to finishing 3.5, that they already got debug mode finished.

Now, let's go over the rumored characters (only 5 of them can get in):

Lyn, Knuckles, Isaac, Sami, Ridley, Skull Kid, Little Mac.

Lyn, Knuckles and Isaac were all in the 'leaked' video, so that leaves us with Sami, Ridley, Skull Kid and Little Mac.

Sami, however, has evidence of her being in. Take a look of the screenshot in the spoiler. That wasn't hidden at all, but it was with a former Project M member, who dropped out maybe? I don't know, but it was with a mod's maker:

That looks good to me, but actually, the person was a huge troller. So he may be lying about this, or the PMBR isn't gonna use it because it's from a former member. Oh yeah, Sami was leaked by the same guy who leaked LucaRyu (a Ryu-like alt costume for Lucario)

Now, Skull Kid, Ridley and Little Mac.

Let me just get Little Mac out of the way. The anewer is no. It was only suggested, not even a little piece of evidence is supporting it.

Now, Skull Kid and Ridley are at war. Both of them were rumored long ago, but yet, Skull Kid has SOME type of proof:

There's a very small frame before the Ridley joke. It says '#47'... is it coincidence that #47 is the Majora's Mask event in Melee (I think it was 47). If this was a joke, why didn't they joke along with announcing Ridley? Or, is this all a trick? Maybe they're trying to fool us with April Fools, so Ridley is real. Nah, it can't be.

Overall, Lyn, Knuckles, Isaac, Sami and Skull Kid are most likely to get in Project M.

The PM stafff said they wouldn't add Sm4sh characters, so Mac is highly unlike.

Also, PM sucks. It's one of the reason I don't want a Melee 2.0.
