Dark Souls is pretty good, although it does piss me off at times.

Parry-defense based build is best type of build.

Lol, I never used to ever parry but then I left Dark Souls 2 for half a year, felt in the mood and came back and then could just parry anything. I got so confident lol. I even parried 3 of the guys from the COTOIK DLC in one frame not too long ago aha.

Parrying makes the game easier, imo.

Once you learn to play, yes. It is very easy and the story seems very short and all. But it is a real easy hook if you're waiting for other releases.
