Nintendo is already hiring engineers for next console development.

Whoa there! Don't jump into conclusions, as development of a new console can take years to do research, plans, prototype designs, and more. It usually takes by the end of the console's life span, just in time to release their new console.

The Wii U has been around for a couple years, hmm, yes. It's been surpassed by the PS4 and the XBOne in just a few months.

It doesn't mean the Wii U is failing, and dropping support for the system prematurely is a poor business decision and the results will affect them dramatically. Like the apocalypse, except only for Nintendo's world.

And I agree with the post preceding mine. Between Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, releasing a new system now would be too early. It would upset gamers.

"Man, dude, I just got this wicked new Wii U a couple months ago, bruh, dude, man, and Nintendo, out of the blue, releases this 'Wii Mii Too', and it has two tablets instead of one and it's the hottest thing as of January 12, 2015, man, bruh, dude, guy."

Retro Studio has made too many Donkey Kong games. There's been as many Donkey Kong games as Mario games recently. They should fix Metroid.

Retro is dead. They should be working on either a remastered Metroid Prime trilogy for the Wii U, an all new Metroid Prime 4, or better yet, both. That's a whole lot of Metroid. Omega would be hard.

Retro should revive another Nintendo franchise. Possibly Ice Climbers or another old, dead franchise. I'd love to see a new Wario Land.

Speaking of reviving, after SSB4WiiU Sakurai should make a third person shooter about the Duck Hunt Duo.
