Sony Fan Makes Petition To Bring SSB4 To PSVita
carlos11 (2014-10-18 19:31:37)Lol, Nintendo has a monopoly on quality titles such as SSB?
Well, maybe other companies should try to be creative enough to come up with something as good Smash Bros, Mario, or Pokemon and put more effort into these games so they can compete with the aforementioned titles.
Monopoly my ass. Does this guy even Economics?

HanShotFirst (2014-10-18 20:15:39)>Monopoly
>What is Dissidia: Final Fantasy/Dissidia 12: Final Fantasy
>What is Tekken?
>What is Street Fighter?
>What is "Terrible console"?
If anything, they're the ones with a monopoly on the VN market.
Taka! Kujata! Condor! Tajadol~!
~Nia~Teppelin~ (2014-10-19 08:44:45)I love how they complain about the DS version when the Wii-U one is coming soon.

carlos11 (2014-10-19 12:11:45)Extremely different, yet extremely similar. Hmm.

Bean (2014-10-19 12:51:43)If you think PSASBR is similar to Smash you haven't played it. Just because it's a crossover fighting game doesn't mean it's a ripoff. Under that logic, SSB is a MvC wannabe.
~~~
carlos11 (2014-10-19 17:50:26)We're not looking at the games themselves, but rather the approach that was taken to make the game. You cannot deny that SSB had nothing to do with the creation of the Sony wannabe Smash game. It doesn't mean it's a ripoff, it simply means that had it not been for SuperSmashBros, and although it was not the first of its kind, Sony wouldn't have decided to make its own crossover fighting game if the aforementioned game had not seen success beforehand. In this respect, Nintendo paved the way for other companies, much the same way Apple did with the tablet market. Apple neither invented the touchscreen nor did they create the first tablet, but it was ultimately their own product's success that sparked the competition among rival companies who wanted to cater to the consumer demand for this type of product that was, up until then, previously negligible.
A Sony PlayStation fan named David Smith, living in Florida City, has created a petition on Change.org demanding Nintendo port Super Smash Bros. 4 to the PS Vita.
His thinking - Sony fans would prefer not to purchase an 'underpowered device' yet would happily purchase a quality title like Smash Bros; as per his discovery, it is "presumably" needed by US antitrust law as Nintendo evidently has an imposing business model on the brawler kind. Read Smith's full clarification beneath:
'Nintendo NEEDS to port this game to the PSVita. Many of us Sony fans don't want to buy an underpowered console like the Nintendo 3DS, but we would gladly buy a quality title like Smash Bros. Not only would it be benefical for both fans and Nintendo, but probably also REQUIRED by US anititrust law, since Nintendo has a monopoly on games like Smash Bros. by virtue of having no competing title.'
Some commenting on the petition have opted for a little humour, like the response from 'Satoru Iwata':
You want a Nintendo game, you buy a Nintendo console. That is how things work. Please understand.
At the time of composing just under 700 supporters have marked the request with a staying 300 required to hit its target. Clearly the shots of something like this always happening as of right now are particularly low, however simply consider the truth some time ago the feature video game world laughed at the thought of main opponents Mario and Sonic uniting. So all things considered, anything can happen in the realm of video games!
What do you guys think of this? Tell us in the comments.
