3DSXL Smash Bundle Announced
carlos11 (2014-08-15 03:52:00)That's Nintendo assuming everyone's had at least one DSi/DSiXL/3DS/3DSXL by now. Those bastards.

carlos11 (2014-08-15 04:34:46)It doesn't fit in the box. Lets leave it at that.
I want to buy this. Well, the improved American version.

Nin10dude789 (2014-08-15 23:24:26)Lol, don't overreact. Only the European and Japanese versions doesn't include AC adapter.
On topic, I got excited! Really want this so bad. I know it will be on the US. Similar thing happened with the Yoshi 3DS XL edition.

carlos11 (2014-08-16 01:46:06)That's what I meant when I said "improved American version".
I'm expecting it to include the AC adapter and cost less than $240.
I don't care that it's "limited edition", if it costs more then I should just buy an XL and the game separately. Plus, this is a lot of money for me. Like, all my birthday money, but at least this will feel like Christmas and I can expect more money at Christmas.

carlos11 (2014-08-17 06:16:43)I think I can get one of my relatives to buy this for me as a late birthday present. I'll just ask for it as soon as it becomes available.
If not... then bye-bye savings for me, 'cause this is a must.

DISCLAIMER
Now, before you get too excited, I have to warn you,
as of now, it's only been announced in Europe. I'm almost sure enough to bet you one nut that the States will also get it, but bear in mind we might not.
Alright, now that that's out of the way, YOU HEARD RIGHT NIGGAS! If you've been waiting to upgrade from your outdated jank tinyscreen 3DS, you are not alone. I share your pain. Every day is a struggle, knowing that I could move on to greener pastures and larger screens, but I am held back from joining my friends by my being a broke ass nigga. But finally, I have almost ceased the opportunity, I just need confirmation from NOA.
Brothers, if you too still own a crappy blue regular 3DS, the time has come. The days when we were ridiculed by our XL-toting counterparts are no more. No longer will we be questioned how it is we put up with such a tiny screen. Let us rejoice.
Well, with new Pokemon games on the way, as well as a new SSB game, it has never been a better time to upgrade to a 3DSXL.
Now for the bad news.
I'm not one to write a one-sided article, and as such, I must tell warn you, the consumer, of everything that is wrong with this bundle, despite the fact that I want it so much. (Seriously, I'd kill for it right now.)
First off is the price, man, the price. I don't know about you, but £209.99 is pricy. Did I not just say I'm dirt poor? Sure, in dollars that's not half bad. But this Brit money we're talking about. That's roughly $350! I don't know about you, Jack, but I wouldn't buy.
Another thing definitely worth mentioning is how unfriendly this offer is to new customers. Allo me to clarify. This 3DSXL
wait for it...
doesn't come with an AC adapter. So how the hell am I supposed to charge it, you ask?
Beats me, I'd probably wire it to a potato, stick a lightbulb in it, and discover electricity like Thomas Edison, or whoever the hell that hobo-looking science guy was called.
Last on my list, but probably no less important, is the copy of Smash Bros. itself.
But Carl, how could Smash be a problem?
Good question peasant; glad you asked. See, this bundle doesn't come with a physical copy of the game. Instead, it has a preinstalled digital copy. See where I'm getting at?
Don't get me wrong, having a digital copy has its perks. For one thing, its always there, so you don't need to worry about forgetting to bring it somewhere, or not having it in the game slot. It's just there.
Although that is nice, I still prefer a physical copy. Hey, call me old-fashioned, but it's just an irreversible preference. I like being able to hold things. If I want to read something, I'd much rather hold the book in my hand than to stare at screen. Damn, it pisses me the hell off to have to read a textbook from my computer screen.
