For me, it's the Halo franchise. The games aren't unplayable, by any means, but none of the three games I've played have impressed me more than most other shooters. Also, any Renegade Kid game ever (Mutant Mudds, Moon Chronicles, Bomb Monkey...)

Mmm yeah. Most Mario games have the same basic plot: Princess kidnapped, kill turtle to save her. In my opinion, I think the Mario series is "good" at the most. (There are some exceptions; I love Super Mario Sunshine and the Paper Mario games.)

Besides that, I'd say some Sonic games and most FPSs.

Call of Duty

Mario is too. I haven't got any new Mario games recently. I just hope for an open world Mario game, like 64 and Sunshine. (ESPECIALLY SUNSHINE!)

Destiny. Even if it's not released yet, the hype just got way too big. I'm getting annoyed with all the Destiny related posts on Google+.

FIFA/Madden. Self explanatory.

Kingdom Hearts. And the fan base are terrible. At least not as the Sonic fan base.

From a Nintendo point of view, Mario games.

From a Sony point of view, Little Big Planet.

From a Microsoft point of view, CoD. More CoD nerds play on Xbox than PS3, Wii, DS, ect.

Final Fantasy, Pokemon X/Y, and probably Mario. Not on a huge level, but the Mario series is given way too much credit.


@Carlos Not trying to defend one of my favorite series, but the demo was a terrible representation of the game. I suggest looking at some actual gameplay footage instead of trusting the demo before saying the series sucks.

Pokemon X/Y was a step down from B/W/B2/W2, focusing too much on the "competitive" community and not enough on the actual ingame stuff. The game's difficulty is almost nonexistent, giving you as much of advantage as possible. It also had an extremely boring story, which is a huge step back from the B/W story. All that mixed together makes the game a mediocre and forgettable experience. Yet it is praised for being OMFG 3D POGEYMANZ!!1!11one!!1!

OoT is just in general a meh game. I enjoy the other Zelda games way more.

I'm pretty sure I've pointed it out before, but here it is again.

Yes X/Y are not great. Far from it, actually. You see, B2/W2 are currently the best pokemon games. X/Y are second only to the first and second generation games in terms of content quality (bad quality, that is). So obviously, it's going to feel like a major step down to go from playing B2 to playing Y. In fact, if it weren't for the glorious 3D graphics and awesome online, it'd feel like tumbling down a flight of stairs. Same goes for MK7, but that's another story.

Now, imagine something that has story just as good as Unova's, looks better than X/Y, and has improved online. What do you get? ORAS.

While I don't agree that B/W 2 were the best titles(Close 2nd for me), they were indeed excellent, and so much better than X/Y.
