Due to to the title's character limit, it's likely that you're confused. This thread is basically about why Sakurai didn't include character transformation. So there you go! Onward to the real deal!

In a Smash Bros. Q&A conference, Sakurai reveals why characters won't transform anymore. Mainly for two reasons:

The first one is due to the 3DS's hardwear limitations. Yes! The 3DS couldn't handle character transformations.

And the other reason is from inspiration of Project M. Since Project M doesn't have character transformations is because of tournament reasons. (Explains a lot why Sakurai had a tournament at E3.)

Meh, I call BS on the 3DS reason. Monster Hunter and Resident Evil Revelations were all around superior quality games than Super Smash Bros Melee (not necessarily better games, mind you, but higher quality graphics, engines and mechanics), which we first played as Zelda/Shiek. In any case, I like that I'm not going to need to pick a character I'm not good with to transform into a character I am good with. Good decision, IMO, regardless of reason.

If it has enough RAM to pull off online multiplayer with taxing games (like RER, MH, or combo-heavy console-quality fighting games with a lot more background processes) without any major issues, I think that it's more of a 'We don't have time to programme this unnecessary feature into the game' thing. They're just piggybacking off the underpowered hardware argument to not sound like they're excluding it to release the game in time for Christmas, which I can understand. :l

Robbieiscool, RER runs on a 4 GB cart, and at 3DS launch, they said at that time that a 3DS cart can hold up to 8 GB. Developers (Nintendo included) just haven't made games that big to justify the use. Capcom may one day, but as I've said before, they're the only ones who see the 3DS as a genuine game console.

so if theres no transformation then that means u cant change pokemon as pokemon trainer so they would probably get rid of 2 pokemon from pokemon trainer

There is no pokemon trainer, and no characters lose a transformation, hence the title.
