FPS suddenly dropped?

I decided to play some Minecraft on a Minecraft server when suddenly my Frame Rate has dropped to 20-30 when it is usually 50-60. I think I have the answer but I'm not sure. (Yes, not much change but I dont like it.)
Any tips and suggestions on what I should do?

Are you playing on vanilla?

Were you generating a new world?

Were you exploring a newly generated place?

Try turning down the spawn rate of mods. Turn off fancy graphics and/or any shaders you may be using.

Your PC runs Minecraft on how much it can handle so if you have a lot of mods and highest settings like Meia said and its slow, you most likely need to chill on the mods and change your settings.

^ I hate PC gaming. There's nothing good about it that I can't find on my PS3 other than TF2.

Sometimes frame rates usually drop. 30FPS is fine, though. (Yes, I have the guts to say I'm fine with 30FPS)

It's running Intel Core i7.
And my Internet is fine.
Maybe, I need a system sweep?

That's kinda why I moved to PC gaming, and besides, most of (NOT ALL) the communities on PC are actually nice, mature people, unlike the 5 year olds who bash at CoD all day and are "Prestige Master" who scream cuss words.
