Will Vita Survive This Gen?
Nin10dude789 (2014-06-09 05:49:40)Looks like video won't show. I'll do it as I get on PC. (It's almost midnight for me!)

Perfect_Chaos (2014-06-09 07:40:31)^ Not this, it could be because they're being innovated, which can work sometimes, but doesn't other times, like cartoon network's ideas and the Wii U.

You guys haven't even played half of the games you mentioned. Have you played it? Or just judge them by their trailers?

BioshockFan64 (2014-06-09 23:49:45)@mega What about Fire Emblem: Awakening and A Link between World?
Static is best villager.
Draazen (2014-06-10 00:43:03)The vita is a great sytem. I think its failing because of the price for the stuff.. 8GB SD for 25 bucks. Really? Its the prices for stuff for the sytem. Thats why the 3DS is doing better.
pikarceus (2014-06-10 03:37:03)The Vita will survive as a niche Japanese localization magnet. That's not a problem for me, as I have really been getting into those games.
Yeah, no AAA blockbusters sucks, especially with how Sony originally said the Vita would have tons of those, but I recently got a PS4 so it's now a non-issue.
I'm never bored with it, a month back I 100%ed Persona 4 Golden and a few days ago I downloaded Persona 3 Portable.
I'm also playing Final Fantasy X HD, this summer the Vita is getting BlazBlue Chrono Phantasm, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment and later Tales of Hearts R. (A game people thought would NEVER come over)
The Vita has a small userbase, but it's super passionate which is why all these dream localizations are happening. Another game coming out is Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, a sequel to "The 3DS boobie game."
Also, if you ignore what SCEA is putting out (nothing) and look at what SCEJ is putting out (Freedom Wars, Orekisha*probably spelled wrong* Tainted Bloodlines and Gravity Rush 2) the picture is much more positive.
SCEA literally goes "old ports and remote play herp derp" but SCEJ actually does good work for the system.
Personally, as long as the system has games I enjoy the sales don't bother me, especially as these niche games are finding success. (P4G broke 700,000 copies and that was a looooong time ago)

pikarceus (2014-06-10 03:38:41)And I watched the live stream, Vita was ignored at E3 again, oh well. But there are some advantages to its situation, one being that there is almost no shovelware.

I watched an interesting video from IGN (gasp!) and discussing if Vita will die, or survive. And it still makes sense due to the lack of games and popularity of 3DS and tablets. They discuss how can Sony save the Vita by focusing on it at this year's E3, but like always, they have to rain on the hopes doubting on Sony because they focus on PS3/PS4 too much and hardly mentions the Vita.
(Although, Sony discontinued the PSP. Will that help?)
Here's the video to check it out yourselves.
What's your thoughts? Do you think the Vita will survive?
