Due to not many people reading my PC game reviews (or what it seems, I guess you guys are only interested in CONSOLE only - in which this annoys me as I try my hardest to put out a detailed review), I will review a game from god-knows how long ago - GoldenEye (or Goldeneye, whatever) 007 for the old classic console, Nintendo 64.
So, let's step to it.

Gameplay: 5.0
The gameplay of Goldeneye 007 is pretty meh. It's an original first person shooter, obviously based on/if not THE story of James Bond. The game plays smoothly, in which it looks as if it plays at 30-60 FPS, yet it probably is capped to 15. I hardly see any frame drops, everything plays out smoothly.
The reason I rate this game 5.0 is because sometimes the controls (which I'll mention next,) don't really fit in well with the gameplay style in which I choose to play, or overall the gameplay style that you HAVE to play.

Controls: 4.0
These controls are god awful. With the layout of the Nintendo 64 controller, it makes FPS' games feel clunky and awkward. With the C-Stick to walk around with and the UP and DOWN buttons to obviously look up and down, etc. etc.

Audio: 5.5
The audio isn't that bad - the quality is nice and all, but what lets me down a lot is the fact that most of/if not all of the games soundtrack are simple .MIDI loops. This lets me down as a gamer, despite it being an old-ass game.
The gun sounds though, are expected, due to the rarity of a sound studio in which has gun sounds

Overall Score: 6.5
It's not a bad game, but it's a decent classic game which most people will seem to enjoy despite the old graphics and the awkward controls.

I loved Goldeneye as a kid! That's a terrible score! It's the father of FPS! (The grandfather of FPS is Doom)

There is a difference between old-school and outdated.

Old-school is like Atari 2600. Terrible graphics compared to today's gaming, but still has that charm and still fun to play. It's something you'll like to go back to.

Outdated is something you'll never go back to, like the Tiger games.

Haven't you even played that game?
