Grimm tales were fairy tales. If you read any famous fairy tale. They seem perfectly normal, that is, until you read they're originals.

The tortoise and the hare: They were hedgehogs instead of tortoises. It had the same plot, except in the race, the hare wanted a rematch. This went on until the hare popped a blood vessel in his neck and lying in a pool of his own blood.

Hansel and Gretel (scottish verssion): Scottland got Molly Whuppy, she was a clever physcotic girl who was kindly let into an ogre family, and made the husband kill his whole family, including the children. She then stole their belongings and gave them to the king who then let her marry his children.

Cinderella: In this one, the sisters were desperate to be with the prince. So they cut off their toes in an attempt to fit into the glass slipper.
