Yes, technically they can talk about adult subjects, but nothing would be private so hopefully they wont get away with it. Also, there are people like me who will help out by reporting any bad discussions or groups we see
(@TheJosher) I believe 500 points is a good amount in order to prevent hundreds of groups being made each minute...If someone does happen to make an inappropriate group, mods should be able to catch it easily without having to file through piles upon piles of groups.
Also, to get 500 points, you would have to chat for a moderately long while...So if a user happens to have a inappropriate attitude, it will hopefully be caught and stopped in the chatrooms, first.

1. The chats aren't the only way to get points, y'know.
2. I think SL actually worked on this a while ago...
This used to be a plan on my agenda, but then I stopped doing anything too major for 3DSPlaza.
SomeLuigi is changing in 2015.

I was thinking it would be a nifty feature to add user submitted groups, or guilds...
When a group is made, it gets its own page where people can post messages on a message board, and maybe even share pictures... kind of like a forum...
For example...Someone can make a "Pokemon Fanclub" group; where all Pokemon fans can talk about pokemon...
This may also be useful to Roleplayers to make a more organized "clan".
~~~~~The following is just an example of the ultimate group feature the way I dreamed it...Not the way it HAS to be
A new tab on the home page is added just for groups....
When creating a group, it would cost a certain amount of 3DS points...Perhaps 500.
The name of the group is entered, followed by the description..
Then the user selects either "open group" or "invite only" (Open group meaning anyone can join at any time...Or invites can be sent by group 'officers' )
Once the above had been completed the group is official and displayed in a "Recent groups" catergory in group tab.
The group leader can promote their members to "officers" which are like co-managers of the group...
All groups can be viewed by anyone, nothing is private. However participating in a group is forbidden unless you are a member in that group (Unless you're a mod)...
Yeaah I'm dreaming big....But having groups of any kind would be awesome though, don't you think?
