According to the Japan Times Nintendo is working on changing the Wii U so it can use smartphone apps or games.The publication also says that Nintendo has offered professional-use conversion software to application developers so that they can get their applications playable on the console.

This system just isn't for me. So much for Nintendo's promises of catering to hardcore gamers.

It won't work anyway, as people play smartphones games on their smartphones, plus knowing Nintendo the prices will be inflated. *Looks at Plants vs. Zombies and Cut The Rope eShop prices*

Xbox version can suck it but the CANON versions of Minecraft (Pocket Edition and PC) are the superior versions.
