I was browsing through the threads here and saw a thread about "SM - DM not being ported to Wii U and 3DS instead".

Well, Luigi's Mansion (Gamecube) WAS capible of 3D function, but you would need a seperate screen, so they never got to this. Wii U has no 3D. 3DS does. Just saying.

That too, but it meets up with the purpose of Luigi's Mansion in 3D, which it was meant to be.

It has nothing to do with the 3D, lol. 3D doesn't affect the gameplay, it's not a necessity.

3D isn't a huge deal.

^“Actually, when we first developed the GameCube game one of the things that we really wanted to do in developing that game was to see the visuals on a 3D screen,” Miyamoto explained.

“At the time we experimented with a 3D monitor and looking at the game in 3D, and that actually ties to how we actually got to release the Nintendo 3DS.

“So we thought the connection between the two was really important and we wanted to bring Luigi’s Mansion, in a new version, to Nintendo 3DS where those 3D visuals could really come to life.”

So indeed, it has something to do with the 3D.

Miyamoto said he really wanted to see Luigi's environment in 3D. There were no 3D TVs in 2001

Actually, the Gamecube still has the actual 3D, but, yeah, it is impossible to use.

It would of worked on Wii U.Just use the Gamepad as the map and for the controls.
