Rayman Legends Going Multiplatform!
mcwolf (2013-02-07 22:34:27)Yep, I totally agree. I was looking forward with this release. But now Im not so sure Im getting it this year.

Ron1212 (2013-02-07 22:42:36)It's not actually a good thing like you said it was. Exclusives raise the sales of consoles. Rayman Legends was an exclusive, but now it's available for all platforms, thus lowering Wii U sales.
They did this with Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge too. God knows what will happen if they make Bayonetta 2 a multi-platform.

mcwolf (2013-02-07 22:53:55)I'm still revising my post. Thanks Ron for pointing that out for me and I fixed it. It's to bad that Ubisoft can't get it together and advertise something right. Ubisoft quote in summarized form: were with the WiiuU all The way. Expect an experience like no other ONLY on the Nintendo WiiU system.

mcwolf (2013-02-07 22:58:09)Ubisoft won't. They said their holding it until September just gathering dust. But who know with them.

Screamer (2013-02-08 03:52:28)Patcher is a dumbass. He has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. @mcwolf

Ron1212 (2013-02-08 05:09:33)If third-party games aren't going to be exclusive to Wii U anymore, at least we still have the first-party games. New Mario Kart and Zelda games will be the Wii U's golden games.

Screamer (2013-02-08 05:55:38)An HD Zelda... That's the only thing that makes me want a WiiU badly.

pikarceus (2013-02-08 16:36:01)It's obvious why Ubisoft did this.
3rd party games have been selling horribly on Wii U. The 360/PS3 versions of Black Ops II sold millions, the Wii U version probably didn't even top 500 thousand.
And this is Call of Duty.
Rayman Legends is a niche game, had they kept it on Wii U for sure it would have bombed in sales, by putting it on PS3/360 they are giving themselves a big sales boost.
Not to mention a larger chunk of the PS3/360 audience are more willing to play a game like this, majority of Wii U owners bought it for NSMB U, Nintendoland, and Skylanders, most of them probably never even heard of Rayman.
Wii U 3rd party support sucks and it will continue to suck, until it gets some 3rd party success stories.
mcwolf (2013-02-08 23:27:40)Pika go check out the comments in the links I put up. Even PS3/ Xbox fans are putting their say in this.
Oh and a update to the story: Ubisoft has announced a new rayman legends demo, I'll put up the rest in a few moments.

pikarceus (2013-02-09 00:29:10)@Kalaab-I own a PS3 and a Wii.
So your argument is that Rayman Legends will boost Wii U sales.
But Ubisoft doesn't care about Wii U sales, they care about the sales of their game.
I'm saying the 3rd party support will suck until 3rd party games start selling well on Wii U.
Name one 3rd party game on Wii U that sold more than a million copies. You can't.
3rd parties don't care about Nintendo, they care about profit.
By putting Rayman Legends on PS3/360, Ubisoft is maximizing profit and sales, and the game may actually break a million in sales.
Rayman Origins was on almost every platform and did about a million. (Maybe a little more or less)
Had Legends stayed exclusive to Wii U (1/6th of the platforms Origins was on), we'd be looking at very little in terms of sales and profit.

Hey everyone, Ubisoft annouced today that the game Rayman Legends is going multiplatform.(WiiU,360,PS3)Im fine with that..the more the merrier right?? Its going to lower WiiU sales though.
..Well Ubisoft said that not only is it going multiplat they but DELAYED the finished WiiU version holding it back till September when the 360,and PS3 versions released. IMO Ubisoft should just go ahead with the original release and the go to releasing it on the other consoles.
I looked around the internet game forums;for ex: gonintendo, Ign, WiiUdaily, and even Ubisoft's forum, and people are saying they have cancelled their pre-orders now because all the great game releases are in the same month.
Update: In response to all the hate Ubisoft has got; they released a quote on what there going to do.
"Thanks for all your feedback regarding Rayman Legends in all of its forms. We have heard you and we will continue to listen. We understand your frustration and that you want to get your hands on the game. We are working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more."
Answer below on what you think about this.
