Lamp (Matthew 6:22-23)
'The Lamp of the body is its Eye.
If the Eye is good and sees what's right,
Your whole body will be full of Light.
However, if your Eye is bad,
Your body will be full of Darkness.
If the Light that is in you is Dark,
How truly deep is that Darkness...'
My Lamp used to be bright and Pure...
But because of choices I've made,
My Lamp is now Tainted and Dark...
All I can do now is endure...
I now cannot accept myself...
So now I walk, blind and seeking...
Seeking, yearning, to be cleansed...
But I don't believe it can be...
I fight the Dark by fleeing...
But I am lost, I cannot see...
Purify me, and please, set me free...
