pikarceus (2015-07-20 01:18:22)It's hard for me to rank them, but I'd say these five had the biggest impact on me by far
Batman Arkham City-Loved Asylum but this game just blew the doors off. Improved on literally eveverything, the way a true sequel should be done. And the overall level design and boss fights were perfect. People say no games are perfect, but I would argue City is. I'm loving Knight, and maybe it's bigger, better or whatever but there are a lot more niggles than City that is for sure.
Persona 4 Golden-First Persona game and reason I bought a Vita. Nothing like I had experienced before. I was sealed away in my room for two straight weeks, barely eating or sleeping. Everything about this game-the setting, music, characters-is just amazing. And yes, having beat 3, I agree that game has a more interesting premise and a ending that will kill you, but 4 Golden is both the most complete package and mechanically sound of all the Persona games.
Uncharted 2-Drake's Fortune, the first game, was my first PS3 game, and coming from the Wii, I was amazed by the graphics. The actual game was pretty rough though. Uncharted 2 fixed everything and ramped everything else 10x. Most PS4 games still haven't been able to capture the bombastic flair of Uncharted 2's setpieces or snow physics. Uncharted 2 still has the best opening of any game I've ever played, period.
Witcher 3-Really recent, but God, finally a game that feels like a true generational leap. This game makes Skyrim seem tiny, dull and lifeless. It takes a giant dump on almost every other current gen game, having a massive, detail filled world with no compromise (No 900p bs on PS4) And this is such a well writen game full of choices that actually matter. Every action has an awesome ripple effect. What I love most is that there are no generic good or evil choices like most games, you'll actually struggle with your decisions. Also, this games' side missions are of better quality than most other games main story. Yeah.
Smash, all of them. I have literally made friends through this game. It honestly improved my social life a ton.

Crush42 (2015-07-21 02:08:41)^Super Mario World is my second favourite SNES game, behind Donkey Kong Country. And since the game is considered a classic, and widely considered one of the best Mario games of all time, I have a slight suspicion we're not the only ones who like the game.

McB055 (2015-07-24 02:29:12)donkey kong country would probably be somewhere on my list too, but i just cant get past those ice levels
