I can understand them sharing about 2/3 moves like Marth and Ike.

What about their specials?
Why couldn't they create unique animations for his A moves?
Smash attacks?
Final smash?

Ganondorf was added because they needed clones (although they could have created Dedede instead of the six clones) and he had a similar build to Captain Falcon. Sakurai doesn't want to alienate Ganondorf mains, so he didn't change Ganondorf that much in Brawl.

Do you hate every potential newcomer that isn't Sceptile?

He could have a unique moveset though, remember there are a lot of moves the duo used in Kazooie and Tooie.
