You can play with friends, or random people.

When playing with friends:
Play any stage, items, use customizable move sets.

When playing with random people:
No more anonymous users, NNID will be shown instead. Will have rules, and can get banned for following reasons:
Do Nothing, targeting at 1 specific person, repeated self-destructs, frequent dropping, cheating, false reporing.

2 modes when playing with random people:
For Fun:
Any stages, items, (Cannot use customized move sets) Only Wins are recorded.

For Glory:
Final Destination stages only, (look at Wii U stages for more info) no items, wins and looses are recorded.

Ranking system:
Will not feature a traditional ranking system, instead, it will have Global Smash Power. If you beat a score on any solo missions, your ranking will only show how many people you've beaten globally. For example, your ranking number is Over 9000. That means that your score is better than 9000 people. It makes it more fun and challenging.

My Music
Will feature My Music from Brawl! 3DS version will feature 2 songs per stage, Wii U version will have several songs. Aww.

Customizable Move Sets
Will have customizable move sets. More to be revealed at a later date.

Umiibo Figurines
Super Smash Bros. Wii U will utilize a figurine that can summone a character! That character can level up, evolve, and other more!
