I appreciate that you made this thread, Nate. I have a legitimate question though. Shouldn't the fact that so many people want kira demoted and the fact that her attitude is mentioned every other day be considered enough evidence? To be fair, I don't know what everyone is saying about her in the chats and you most likely haven't seen her negative behavior for yourself, but this should at least be looked into if you catch my drift.

AntiChrist (2014-11-05 01:13:44)
^ I knew that when I posted my comment. The countless requests for her to be demoted aren't just there for no reason though. I'm just saying he should pay a little more attention to kira since he isn't exactly sure weather or not he should demote her.
PhoenixDawn (2014-11-05 02:42:32)
Kira is just far too lucky to have gotten this far.

@AntiChrist

I cannot satisfy the community. I have to have one modset that I like, and not promoting and demoting constantly, like I did when I was first CM.

There was once a user named WGB and aSm. They were both mods, chat mods. Most people liked them, but others hated them. They both did bad things, making me demoting them. WGB falsely banned and such, and aSm broke a lot of rules. People still wanted them as mods, but I had to demote them because of their behavior. That started the cycle. I then started going on a modding spree, demodding spree, etc. to the point where I demoted the good mods. After that, I realized that I've been making too many moderator changes. So I then promoted most of the mods that were demoted, demoted some of the promoted mods and left it be. Two months or so later, I started to make minor tweaks. Demoting the inactive moderators such as teveSE and yrarB. I then promoted other good moderators, and then I was happy, and so was the community.

Then, a lot of moderators requested demotion, then I started my modding spree, people hated me, people quit, then I ended. Ended with this; my "perfect" moderator list.

That didn't explain anything, but what I'm trying to say is, if I do demote Bellamy, number one, I don't have any reason since they're a good moderator in my eyes (I'll explain that in a sec). Number 2, it will not satisfy anyone. Sure, from your perspective of view, you might think "HALLELUJAH! PRAISE DA LAWD AND ANY OTHER RELIGION'S GOD SO I DON'T OFFEND ANYONE! BELLAMY IS DEE-MOO-TED!" from others perspective, which is more than you imagine, they'll say (chat censor on): "WHAT THE SACK WHY THE DID YOU DEMOTE ING BELLAMY? THEY WERE THE ONLY ING ONES WHO KNEW HOW TO ING MODERATE UNLIKE THESE OTHER LAZY ASS ES. I MEAN, THEY'RE ALWAYS ING ON WHEN NO OTHER ING OTHER MOD IS ING ON. GOD SACK, YOU'RE SUCH A ING B N ASS W. *quits Plaza*"

Yeah, that is a little over what people say, but yeah. Get the point?

I want to satisfy myself with the "perfect" modset, as well with some part of the community.

Lol, "little over."

When she was demoted we almost had a party.

We can't have a party because Sack can't eat cake.

Thing is Nait, while I can see where you're coming from, I would have to disagree.

See, when you have some of your own mods telling you this one mod is bad and their actions are unacceptable, odds are it should be looked into.

When a mod's personality leads to them being disliked by the community they're supposed to be overseeing, then you should consider reminding them that their mod privileges are just that, Privileges that can be taken at any time.

When there are people complaining about how this mod is overly strict or incompetent, then you need to whip them into shape or drop them altogether. That's it.

Even if Bellamy is on your "Perfect Mod List", you seriously need to begin reconsidering after there have been a few threads asking Bellamy to be demoted.

Just because Ignoring Bellamy in the chats is an option doesn't excuse the fact that she still floods. The Ignore Button is a band-aid fix to that problem. If she's still flooding, then she needs to stop or face a penalty.

Also, Isn't having multiple accounts against the rules of the site, but you are aware of Changminisgod and Super ~_~ Junior being the same person right?

I know, I get what you're trying to say, but I just don't see much of a problem with Bellamy, even if they're quote flooding quote, which I don't think it really is, coming from a user who is on 3DS 95% of the time (again, I'm not on 24/7, which is why this thread was made). And yes, I do reconsider for all my mods. I just have to see their behavior first and make a legit reason that applies to the Moderator Terms of Service. A reason why I started roleplaying, too.

And yes, I am aware ChangminIsGod and Super~_~Junior are the same person. They account switch because of name changing only being available by asking SL, and, to be honest, he didn't accept any name change requests at the time.
PhoenixDawn (2014-11-05 21:59:49)
Trust me Nait, you'll be surprised.

Nait, go back two or three pages until you see a thread titled "Request for Demotion!" started by WiiGii.

Bellamy isn't "Flooding", she's Flooding. When you're basically having a conversation with just yourself and you're posting non-stop, It's flooding.

There's a difference between typing up a sized response that takes a few parts to type up and Bellamy's K-pop freakouts.

Theoretically, managing the moderators based on the community's desires would be irresponsible....however, I don't think just because 80% of the community wants something means you shouldn't do it (It may seem/feel like you're doing it only because of popular demand)...Sure, people can be biased and gang up on someone who doesn't deserve it, but it's highly likely that there's actually an appropriate reason that they're complaining.

Calling a user a terrorist is completely unacceptable, especially for a modetator. Telling users not to insult and then calling them peasants is hypocrisy and also unacceptable behaviour from a moderator....These are both things Bellamy has allegedly done (though I've seen some of it myself just recently) yet it's only winked at by proper authority. She's an efficient mod, I have to admit...disregarding arguable bans reasons, it's her behaviour that's the problem. Borderline flooding, often rude to users, hypocrisy (or at least appearing that way)....Moderators are the face of the website. If poor users are in authority, that says a lot about the site. More users would/have leave/left because of poor modship rather than leaving simply because their favourite mod loses their privileges...that's a silly reason compared to leaving because moderators are making your stay unnecessarily miserable.

Bellamy can be a really nice person and a good friend...but just because you can hit the ban button at the right time doesn't make someone a perfect mod...anyone can do that. She's (unfortunately) not benefiting the face of the site as a moderator due to her common behaviour...if she wasn't a mod, no one would care how she acts; however because she does have privileges, it gives the impression that her bad actions are acceptable when they're not.
