Today, a fan Tweeted a question to Xbox boss Phil Spencer about any thoughts of Banjo and Kazzoie being DLC in Smash Bros. What he responded is quite amazing! He said it would be cool to see them in the game and even hoped to work with Nintendo about it!

What do you think? Would you like to see Banjo and Kazzoie as DLC?

This still has nothing to do with Rayman. The Rayman leak is a... Leak created by a fan. (Very professional) The one I'm reporting is a tweet that Phil Spencer himself made. It's not a leak. Look at the source. I've been telling you a lot of times.

I don't think he realizes how miniscule the chances of a third party character getting in Smash are at this point. Given the circumstances, it would practically be advertising other platforms. The competition.
And this is exactly what Phil has in mind. He doesn't give a damn about Smash Bros, he's more concerned with the opportunity that has been presented to him. From a marketing standpoint, this campaign to get characters into Smash is a brilliant way to advertise games as well as platforms. Knowing this, virtually everyone and their mothers are coming out and saying "we would love to have our very own [insert character's name here] in Smash. #VoteFor[character]".

Realistically speaking, none of these developers, given that they are sane, actually expect their games to be represented in Smash. What they're interested in is using the hype generated by the Smash ballot as leverage to advertise for their own gain. They're already winning because it's working. If you haven't heard about this, then you're living under a rock. It is happening.

Exhibit A: This very thread. In it you will se a fan under the delusion that a third party character has a chance at making it into Smash.
