Since the guys over in the "Most overrated game of all time" forum have gotten into a not-so heated battle over the best pokemon game, I decided to start a forum about it. In my opinion, , Gold and Silver.

Gold and Silver only get so much praise because of two regions. Every Johto gym was a huge pushover. Lance was too.

My list:
Diamond/Pearl/Platinum (mainly Platinum)
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald (mainly Emerald)
Black 2/White 2
Black/White
X/Y
HeartGold/SoulSilver
Gold/Silver/Crystal

Yellow
Red/Blue
Red(jp)/Green

The reason I had that huge gap is because Gen 1 is trash.

Black/White and Black 2/White 2.

I like gen 3 as a whole. I'm including FireRed and LeafGreen.

Gen I is the worst generation. Here are my favorite regions.

Unova
Hoenn/Sinnoh (it's a tie in my book)
Kalos
Kanto/Johto (they're always together.)

With ORAS, if all goes well, Hoenn could move to the very top of that list, and the list of best 3DS games ever.

The Gen 1 glitches are amazing. Someone even programmed another game inside of it using a glitch item.

Who knows, maybe these remakes coming out soon will be decent to me, but as for the other mainstream Pokemon games? I'd rather get my turn-based RPG fix from Fire Emblem and Paper Mario.

But really, that's obviously just my opinion. (They really should make a new Pokemon Snap game, tho...)
